Where I Started

Conceptual Starting Point

These installation works began from questions about how physical spaces are experienced in the digital era.
Rather than treating space as a neutral container, the projects explored how bodies, materials, images, and digital perception reshape a viewer's sense of presence.

Project Context

The works were developed in 2018 as installation projects that connected spatial experience with questions of humanism.
They looked at the tension between technological environments and human perception, asking how physical space can still hold emotional, social, and bodily meaning.

What I Did

Role and Process

Led the projects from idea development through installation, shaping the conceptual direction and spatial experience.
Developed installation structures, material arrangements, and viewing conditions to make the relationship between digital-era perception and physical space visible.
Coordinated installation decisions on site so the final works could respond to scale, movement, light, and the viewer's position.

Space

Treated physical space as an active medium for questioning digital-era perception.

What I Learned

Key Insights

Installation work depends on the viewer's body and movement, so the meaning of a piece changes with distance, angle, and time.
Physical space can make abstract questions about technology and humanism feel immediate because the audience encounters them through scale and presence.

Critical Constraints

The final work had to respond to site conditions, material limits, installation time, lighting, and viewer circulation.
Documentation needed to preserve the spatial intention while acknowledging that the full experience happens in person.
